The catastrophic storm that hit Montenegro the night before yesterday did not bypass the municipality of Šavnik.
Due to the huge amount of precipitation, the rivers Komarnica and Grabovica overflowed, which caused enormous damage in the village of Komarnica and in the territory of the Dragišnica and Komarnica Nature Park.
In a statement to Antena M radio, when asked if there was any help or reaction from the state, Jakić said:
"We can say that there was no reaction, except for one tweet from yesterday, which, I can also say, was not adequate because it is mentioned that a damage assessment commission will come out, that is the last thing that is done in these situations.
Where the institutions of the system function, competent institutions should have been here on Friday morning, those who can help from numerous ministries, directorates and others.
To this day we have not had any reactions, I really can't even say that it is surprising, nothing can surprise us anymore.
We rely on ourselves, that's how we behave from the start, that we are alone in all this. That's how we work.
We had that help, i.e. the presidents of the municipalities of Bar, Mr. Dušan RaIčević and the president of the municipality of Bijelo Polje, also from the Bemax company, immediately offered help.
Bemax will be here in the field tomorrow with their machinery to help you solve these problems. This is what has happened here in Šovnik so far," said Jakić.
Earlier today, the president of the municipality of Savnik posted on Facebook what the current situation is.
"The competent services are still working hard to reach the residents as soon as possible, who were trapped on their properties due to the storm," announced Jakić.
"The terrible storm that hit this area interrupted the supply of drinking water and electricity to the village. Our teams have been on the ground since Friday, repairing the consequences of the storm, delivering water and food," Jakić pointed out.
"Electricity supply was established yesterday, and we hope that the evacuation of tourists will be completed today during the day and that we will be able to connect the cut-off part with the rest of the village," concluded Jakić in a post on Facebook.
