Saša Pekić (pictured above, hugging Joanikije Mićović), a businessman who was arrested today on suspicion that, according to the media, he is allegedly “at the top of the tobacco clan” —— is the holder of the decoration of the Diocese of Montenegro and the Littoral Church of Serbia (SPC).
Joanikije Mićović (enthroned as Metropolitan in 2021 amid massive police violence) personally decorated Pekić with the “Golden Image of Saint Peter the Second Lovćenski Tajnovidac”.
Moreover, Mićović presented Pekić with the decoration, with a hug and kiss, on July 30, 2022 in the village of Krnjice, Bar Municipality.
As announced at the time by Mićović's diocese, Pekić was decorated at the suggestion of priest Krsto Plamenac from Bar — the son of another priest from Bar, Jovan Plamenac (an undergraduate student of astronomy by education).
"We are honored to award the decoration," Joanikije Mićović said at the time.
The text of Mićović's decision to award Pekić reads:
"By the grace of God, the Orthodox Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral JOANIKIJE awards the Golden Image of Saint Peter the Second, the Secret Seer of Lovćen, to SAŠA PEKIC from Podgorica for his selfless help and active love shown in the painting of the church of St. Archangel Michael in Krnjice. - Given in the capital city of Cetinje, under metropolitan number 86, on July 30, 2022. - With the blessing of God, the Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral JOANIKIJE".
The branch of the Church of Serbia also announced that the ceremony when Pekić was awarded the decoration was held on July 30 (Ognjena Marija), for unspecified "practical reasons", and not on the day of the celebration of the old temple in Krnjice — Holy Archangel Michael (November 21).
We also note that the "Lovćenski Tajnovidac" is a non-existent figure according to the official calendar of the Church of Serbia!
The announcement of the "Tajnovidac" from 2013 by Amfilohije Radović, the Patriarchate of Serbia, verifiably, has not accepted it for a day.
And since Mićović was appointed metropolitan of Cetinje in 2021, not a single hierarchal liturgy in memory of the "Tajnovidac" in the local St. Sava dioceses, the Montenegrin-Littoral and - or Budimlje-Nikšić — has been held.
