The Winter Kotor Carnival, which preserves a tradition longer than half a millennium, is being held today in Kotor.
The large carnival procession set off at 2 pm from the Open Pool towards Mace, where the “guilty one for everything” is traditionally burned.
The doll with the image of Andrija Mandić is supposed to symbolize the culprit for all the troubles of that city in the past year.
The Kotor carnival Andronikos Durak aka Voštan is accused of “being guilty of all the misdeeds and serious crimes” committed against the people of Kotor in the past year.
The carnival indictment published in the newspaper "Karampana" states that he is guilty of "making the people so confused that local government cannot be formed in several municipalities, so that in the entire country it is not known who drinks or who pays; that he has established control of the executive branch and the government itself in depth and breadth, so that instead of controlling the executive branch, he beats it up as he pleases".
Carnival special prosecutor "Rufin Beskičmenjak aka Gurbet" accuses Andronikos Durak of "accelerating our path to the EU so much that they didn't even want to receive him in Brussels in the hallway".

Let us recall that in 2023, a doll with the image of Dritan Abazović, who was then the Prime Minister in a technical mandate, was burned at the Kotor Carnival. The doll was then named "Dominik Akrobata aka. Technical".
