Kovač attacked MANS: You did not criticize the Law on Administrative Disputes in order to take a million; Ćalović Marković: You must be uncomfortable with the citizens

The Minister of Justice in the technical mandate, Marko Kovač, attacked the Network for the Affirmation of the Non-Governmental Sector (MANS) for not campaigning against the Law on Administrative Disputes because, as he claims, that organization would have taken more than a million euros through lawsuits.
Kovač announced this at the session of the Committee for Political System, Judiciary and Administration, whose topic is a consultative hearing regarding changes to the Law on Confiscation of Property. MANS Executive Director Vanja Ćalović Marković pointed out during the session the interpretation from the European Commission and the reasons why such a Bill should not be adopted, which Minister Kovač did not like.
You did not go into depth, nor were you full of criticism when it came to the Law on Administrative Disputes. You did not run a public campaign against him because you filed more than 2,500 lawsuits and asked for oral hearings in order to take more than a million euros from citizens due to senseless disputes - said Kovač.
As he states, a public question arises as to whether we are talking here from the position of the NGO sector or a political party.
Are you implying that someone wants to hide assets in the 90s? You are contradicting what you said. If we were to treat property in the 90s, we would be going against all the views of European experts, who call for legal certainty and point to the anomalies of the legal system in the 90s - Kovač added.
Ćalović Marković replied that the minister's priority is the administrative disputes that MANS conducts on the basis of the Law on Free Access to Information because this state administration hides information from them.
Any such official who violates the Law on Free Access to Information is a real job for the judges of the Basic Court and will bear responsibility and disciplinary proceedings will be initiated against him, and Kovač wonders why MANS conducts these proceedings. If we had not led them, what was awarded to Svetozar Marović would not have been awarded. Instead of telling the officials to give MANS what they ask for, it's a problem for you that we go to court when you declare the information secret. That is a bigger problem for you, but how much property did Milo Đukanović take out of Montenegro. You should be uncomfortable with the citizens, for 20 years MANS played the prosecutor's office in this country - said Ćalović Marković.
She pointed out that she hopes that there is no majority in the Assembly that will adopt this kind of Bill on property confiscation.
If you wanted to return property to the state budget, you would be looking for a way, and instead you are looking for a way to protect persons who have illegally acquired property - said Ćalović Marković.
