AUTHOR: M.J.
The leaders of the European Union, Ivan Vujović, Damir Šehović and Vatroslav Belan are staying in Bosnia and Herzegovina to meet the commemoration of the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica, which they will attend on Thursday, July 11.
On the first day of their stay, during a meeting at the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, they were welcomed by the chairman of the Presidency, Denis Bećirović, the Association announced.
"Bećirović thanked Vujović, Šehović and Belan for the decision to participate in the commemoration in Srebrenica immediately after the formation of the Alliance and for choosing Bosnia and Herzegovina as the first destination in the region where they will present a new progressive European platform on the political scene of Montenegro," he says. in the announcement.
During the conversation, it was mutually stated that the stability of the Western Balkans depends on the stability of Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the defense of their independence and sovereignty, and the preservation of the concept of multi-ethnic, multicultural and multi-religious societies that have a common goal - membership in the EU.
The interlocutors, as noted in the announcement, concluded that only through strong cooperation and regional alliance of progressive, civil, truly European organizations, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, two old and friendly states, will be preserved and joined to the European family of states.
On that line, Bećirović welcomed the formation of the European Union as, as he stated, a good example of the synergy of proven civic, anti-war, reform and pro-European parties.
Vujović, Šehović and Belan told Bećirović that Bosnia and Herzegovina will always have a reliable friend and unquestioning advocate of its integrity and sovereignty in the European Union.
They announced that "Montenegro must urgently get a new government and a parliamentary majority that will not represent the entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina as states according to the dictates of Andrija Mandić and that will not be on the line of politician Milorad Dodik."
The new pro-European Government of Montenegro, which will certainly include the European Union, will very quickly smooth out relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina and return them to a partnership and friendly level where circumstances will not be created for sending protest notes, but for the exchange of experiences and mutual assistance on the European path. , the Alliance leaders concluded.
