Lessons and messages from the third illegal election of the general director of RTCG: Who is calling us?

AUTHOR: SRĐAN ČOVIĆ RTCG SOURCE PORTAL ANALYTICS

It is commonplace that politicians love unlimited power.

And with it unlimited irresponsibility.

That's why they usually wrap their selfish motives in narratives of general concern, big ideas, and offer in turn - European paths (and the rich), special treatment for vulnerable peoples and within them especially vulnerable individuals, monuments for grandfathers, kindergartens for children, hospitals for all and duo concerts in psychiatric institutions and prisons. The offer is very broad, universal so to speak.

However, so that someone does not suspect that something different can be done, it is necessary to control the editorial policy. By depth. Therefore, personnel. And as my colleague Nikola Marković said...

One of the people who is now one of the key holders of power in Montenegro called me and said "Nikola, you have applied to be a director. We have the majority there, it would be good if you come and talk about the editorial policy and personnel solutions".

A message to the Legislature

Since, according to the Law, the members of the RTCG Council are independent in safeguarding the public interest, in accordance with knowledge, awareness and conscience, it would be good to find out who is "we" and who is the controlled "majority". And who "came a little bit". Well, it seems he stayed a little longer, but illegally.

Anyone who closely follows parliamentary shenanigans also remembers the unusual honesty of the lawmaker Slaven Radunović at that moment, while he supported the election on the Administrative Committee of the dormant candidate for the RTCG Council, Naod Zorić. Who will be elected, in order to wake up as needed - the majority, of course.

Therefore, the former MP Radunović, and today's Minister of Urbanism, who in all likelihood loves hills, made a superhuman effort and declared:

"Regarding the court rulings (regarding the election of the general director of RTCG in 2021), they are clear and they say that, at the time of the election, the general director of RTCG was elected illegally, but that does not prevent him from running again and I honestly I hope he will be elected, because it is much more important for the citizens of Montenegro how the Public Service functions, than whether someone from the opposition will be satisfied or dissatisfied with some formalities."

Well, Radunović, your hopes have been fulfilled, but the formalities are not and the eight candidates - media professionals claim that the law has been broken.

Which leads the normal mind to the conclusion that our political media life, with such actors, has become a parody of American movies (the truth of the best). In them, do not wake up with a horse's head at "offers that cannot be refused". This is where the shin is calling you.

A message to the executive

In order for the absurd to have elements of comedy, the projected, previously invited, and six times derogated by court decisions general acquired the exclusive right to draft amendments to the Law on RTCG with arguments with personal projections and ambitions on a letterhead with the RTCG logo. Spajić's office, like a professional email postman (not a nervous one), forwarded it to Brussels on Thursday, and they returned it to us under the IBAR brand on Friday. The message - five is more beautiful and competitive than ten. The only thing that could have been funnier and more successful than this was if Do Kwon was allowed to simultaneously write amendments on the abolition, the Central Bank of Montenegro and the capital market, and to appoint him as lifetime vice-governor for the cryptocurrency market. And that the Minister of Justice does not ask anything about him, but that he can only be extradited by the RTCG Council at the suggestion of Dr. Drljevic.

A message to the judicial and prosecutorial authorities

If miscreants and criminals in an extended period will interfere with your decisions, then the reconnaissance in an extended period loses its meaning. We hope that we are not waiting for a political or foreign political signal to process what the whole of Montenegro sees. There are enough decent free citizens and exemplary professionals in this country who will not let intellectually and morally half-assed (there are many half-decimals to be precise) dubious academic references determine their fate. With the help of irresponsible politicians, self-appointed analysts and unscrupulous advisers.

It's time to come to our senses.
