Lidija Đukanović: I am proud of everything my husband has achieved, we want order in our state house

I am proud of everything my husband has achieved and just as we like to have order in our family and our lives, we also want order in our state house, Lidija Đukanović, the wife of President Milo Đukanović, said from Nikšić.
The Women's Alliance of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Nikšić organized a meeting with the first lady of Montenegro, as part of the campaign for the upcoming presidential elections. On that occasion, the women of Nikšić sent strong support to Milo Đukanović from his hometown before the second round of voting on April 2.
Lidija Đukanović said that Nikšić women are recognized as brave, self-aware, smart, contemporary but also traditional women, and pointed out that these are all values that she herself cherishes and shares. In her address to those present, she said that she was proud of what her husband had achieved, as well as of her family.
If you are loyal to those who mean the most to you and who are closest to you, then you are also loyal to the state and society. I am proud of everything my husband has achieved, I am proud of my family, of my grandchildren who have contributed to my husband and me to further understand what true values are and what is most important in the life of every person - said Milo Đukanović's wife.
Đukanović said that she is aware of all the challenges that women face in Montenegrin society, pointing out that today they have to balance between family and work.
No matter how successful we are in our work, no matter what career we have, as someone who lives in a traditional society, we know that no matter what, in Montenegro it is considered that a woman is the pillar of the family and that everything rests on her. Regardless of the work we do, it goes without saying that all family work is done by a woman - emphasized Lidija Đukanović.
Just as we like to have order in our family and our lives, we also want order in our state house. So we want all this uncertainty and all the problems that are bothering us to stop. As women, mothers, sisters, housewives, we can do a lot and help - said Lidija Đukanović.
She told the gathered Nikšić women why she thinks these elections are very important.
For the sake of our children and the path that Montenegro is taking, for the sake of the country that we want to leave to our descendants, even better than our ancestors left it to us. I think that all of us, the women of Montenegro, can do a lot, because statistically there are more of us than men. So I think that each of us can contribute a lot to make everything better, to change the current political situation - concluded Lidija Đukanović.
