The President of the Parliament of Montenegro Andrija Mandić said after the session of the collegium that today they failed to reach a consensus with the opposition on resolving the parliamentary blockade.
He also stated that they agree that the Venice Commission (VC) should arbitrate.
According to him, the decision of the Venice Commission would be binding for everyone in the Parliament. Previously, Mandić says, this request should also be supported by the opposition.
- This is a good solution and I believe that the opposition will accept it - believes Mandić.
He emphasized that the majority cannot take over matters that are not within its jurisdiction.
- Because some are within the jurisdiction of the Government, and some are within the jurisdiction of local governments - he added.
Mandić also stated that the agreement with the opposition was to inform them about the proposal for resolving the crisis.
The dialogue will most likely continue on Monday.
