Media Center: Council of RTCG to resolve the Director General for violation of the law

The Media Center is submitted to the President and Members of the Council of Radio and the Television of Montenegro (RTCG) to the Dismissal of the Director General of RTCG today.

The Media Center called on the Council of RTCG to, in accordance with the Law on the National Public Broadcase, Radio and Television of Montenegro, is eliminated by the Director of Boris Raonić in the Procedure of the Appointment of the Telvision of Montenegro (TVCG) Marija Tomašević.

"We point to you that Article 53 in paragraph 1 item is prescribed that the General Manager, the director of the Montenegrin Radio and the director of Montenegro can be resolved before the expiration of the RTCG statements and general acts Initiative.

The Media Center reminded the Council of RTCG for the management for inspection affairs in the Employment Procedure of the TVCG director of the Media Center initiative. After almost two years since the initiation of the proceedings, according to the media, the inspection stated violation of the law in this procedure and ordered RTCG to correct shortcomings. The finding and account of the inspection are created formal preconditions for initiating the procedure of dismissing the Director General of RTCG in accordance with Article 53 of the Law on the National Public Broadcador Radio and Television of Montenegro.

The Council of RTCG and in this case may choose to turn their head from violating the law and not to sanction the Director General of RTCG. The action in accordance with the law would be a desired turn against the current work of the Council, which has so far supported the general director, and even recent not to comply with the final court judgment on its illegal appointment to office.
