Milatović at the Easter liturgy in the Temple, Joanikije congratulated him on his new position

The newly elected President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, attended the Easter liturgy in the Church of Christ's Resurrection in Podgorica with his family.
The liturgy was served by Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral. On that occasion, he greeted Milatović and congratulated him on his new position.
Thank you for coming today to share the joy with your people on this holy holiday. Congratulations on your new position, but above all, since I saw you here today with your wife and children, I wish you personal and family happiness and may the Lord bless your home with health and progress and all good things. And we also wish you to perform this high and responsible duty that you have received successfully, just as you have performed all previous duties that you have accepted very successfully and honestly. To the joy of all the citizens of Montenegro, the entire people who need justice, harmony, peace and work the most - said Joanikije.
In addition to Milatović, the newly appointed President of the Assembly of the Capital City, Jelena Borovinić Bojović, and her husband, Democratic Front MP Dragan Bojović, also attended the service.
Today, Orthodox Christian believers celebrate Easter, the biggest and oldest Christian holiday, which is celebrated in memory of Christ's resurrection, his victory over death and sin.
The Feast of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is celebrated for three days, and for the next 40 days, Orthodox Christians greet each other with the words "Christ is Risen, Truly Risen".
