Milatović is just one in a series of those who would like to redo the national identity

By threatening the Montenegrin national identity, Jakov Milatović confirms from the first days of his presidency that he is not the president of all citizens of Montenegro, said Asmir Pućurica, vice-president of the Youth Council of the DPS of Montenegro and a member of the Bijelo Polje Municipal Assembly.
In the author's text, he stated that Montenegrin's past saw various events that had the character of conflict.
The freedom won by defiance of tyranny was the border that separated two conflicting poles, gathered around different value systems: the one that obeyed the sequence of current events and the one that preserved its uniqueness in every historical moment. The flame of conflicting value systems flared up at the beginning of the 20th century and through various forms arranges the everyday reality to which it belongs at a given moment - said Pućurica.
According to him, the most significant test of recent history, which examined the foundation of the traditional values of Montenegrin society in the modern European future, was the set of unfortunate conflicts of the Second World War, from which, as he states, Montenegro emerged with a firmly built ideological backbone, on which anti-fascism and civil society were supported.
Although the dissident side will say that such a system of values is based on a set of circumstances, because it identified itself with the ideals of the winning side, such a claim is actually a malicious thesis on which the new ruling structure in Montenegro relies - said Pućurica.
He emphasizes that the civic character of society and anti-fascism are the fundamental values of Montenegrin society, created by a series of centuries-old aspirations framed in the thesis of "community and heroism".
Such a historical thesis, which encapsulated the essence of Montenegrin society, created Montenegrin national identity, which in a significant part cultivated a civic character. One of the recognizable faces of the Montenegrin national identity is the red flag, as a symbol of physical and spiritual freedom. Such freedom gave birth to a state that sacrificed its sons in the most difficult moments, so that today we would always have the name of Montenegro on the map of old European maps - adds Pućurica.
New political circumstances, he states, gave them the courage to reconsider the value created through all historical circumstances in the past - the Montenegrin red flag.
It is true that the red flag is not something that fundamentally bothers the current political elite, but it is the freedom that it symbolizes. Freedom, an indomitable spirit and "keeping the other from oneself" are the names and surnames of the Montenegrin national identity, woven in red, which today is displayed in every place where the name of our homeland appears. That is why the submissive servants of foreign power centers do not care about Montenegrin citizens, nor about reaching the greatest, civilizational goals, on the contrary. Their political program is the erasure of Montenegrin freedom, the breakdown of the civic character of society and the taking of the Montenegrin state's identity, which it kept in the red banner, a symbol of Montenegrin's age-old freedom - Pućurica pointed out.
On the wings, as he said, of the concept of freedom known only to them, "which President Milatović sees in the shackles of a delusional value system, a new political wave threatens the Montenegrin state by reshaping its national identity".
Pućurica notes that a country without an identity is the same as a person without a name and surname.
There have never been nameless people in Montenegro, even when every outline of a Montenegrin face was severely banned and punished. It seems that, on the wings of already well-known political ideas, President Milatović confirms that he is not the president of all Montenegrin citizens by threatening the Montenegrin national identity already in the first days of his presidency. Unfortunately, only the ignorant and naive were surprised by this fact - he pointed out.
However, he says that there is no need to worry about the red flag because this is not the first time, as he said, that Montenegro has been attacked by various means.
Even the great powers hit the libertarian blushing with bullets and never extinguished its libertarianism. Did the student of Slobodan Milošević's political school think that his political servitude would make those who are not much bigger than him? Don't rush. Free will be all those whose mind is as free as the famous red flag, under which we will all stand together - said Pućurica.
