Montenegro has harmonized with the restrictive measures of the EU due to Iran, Serbia is the only one from the region that has not

Today, Montenegro complied with the new EU Council decision on restrictive measures against certain persons and entities due to the situation in Iran.
EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Jozep Borel announced today that the Council of the EU adopted Decision (CFSP) 2022/22341 on November 14, which amended the list of persons and entities subject to restrictive measures.
All candidate countries for EU membership in the Western Balkans, except Serbia - Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, as well as Ukraine and Moldova, have complied with the decision of the Council of the EU.
The EFTA countries Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway and members of the European Economic Area have also harmonized.
Those countries will ensure that their national policies are in line with the decisions of the Council, and the EU takes note of this dedication and welcomes it, Borel added in the announcement.
