Montenegro is behind Slovenia and Croatia in terms of average earnings

Data on the average salary are often used by politicians when they talk about their own successes or the failures of their predecessors. In the countries of the Balkans, these numbers are bid especially during election campaigns, writes the BBC in Serbian.
The average of 500 euros in Serbia has been mentioned for years as a goal to be reached, and it was finally achieved in 2019.
The current average salary is about 170 euros higher than that.
In some countries of the Balkans, the average is still below 500 euros, while in some it is three times higher.
Slovenia and Croatia lead the way with average earnings of more than a thousand euros, while employees in Albania and Kosovo still receive less than 500 euros on average.
What are the average earnings in the region?
Slovenia - 1,480 euros
Croatia - 1,029 euros
Montenegro - 721 euros
Serbia - 668 euros
Bosnia and Herzegovina - 602 euros
North Macedonia - 537 euros
Albania - 437 euros
Kosovo - 432 euros
