Montenegro must be a member of the EU until 2026

Montenegro must be the first next member of the European Union (EU) until May 21, 2026, said the holder of the list "Together! For the future that belongs to you" and Acting President of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Danijel Živković.
Živković, at the presentation of the election program of the coalition of DPS, Social Democrats, the Liberal Party and the Democratic Union of Albanians in Bijelo Polje, said that Montenegro was stopped on its way to adopting the European value system.
That is why we very clearly announced in our program - Montenegro must be the first and next member of the EU until May 21, 2026 - stated Živković.
He said that this is possible in the next two years, adding that they have enough institutional knowledge to be able to complete all negotiations regarding the new methodology.
If our coalition is part of the government, don't have any dilemma that we will go on the fast lane towards the EU - said Živković.
As one of the foundations of the election program, Živković mentioned the economy and improving the standard of living of citizens.
We have a concrete plan. Let's finish the negotiations with the EU, start the investment cycle and we know where that money is in European funds, let's finish these projects so that they don't get into debt at high interest rates, that we make money and that the economy is realistically sustainable - said Živković.
He stated that the focus of their program is on man.
Our intention in the first instance is to increase the minimum pension to 350 euros - announced Živković.
He added that the list he leads will fight for the citizen to have a higher salary, a higher pension and a higher personal income, but on a realistically sustainable basis, on the basis of an economy and economy that will be sustainable and competitive.
