The Movement for Podgorica emphasizes in a press release that "it will not negotiate with anyone who violates the Constitution of Montenegro".
"In accordance with the principles of the platform of the list 'For a Better Podgorica', we expect all political entities to respect the highest legal act, the Constitution of Montenegro", the Movement for Podgorica statement states.
They add that "it is meaningless to talk about the development of Podgorica if the legal security of every citizen in Montenegro is brought into question".
"We call on our colleagues from the Constitutional Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro, especially our colleagues from PES, to return things to their previous state in order to ensure legal security. "This is the only way to create the preconditions for the return of legal certainty as a basis for discussing development policies," they said in a statement.
The Constitutional Committee concluded by majority vote that Dragana Đuranović fulfilled the conditions for an old-age pension under the PIO Law, which is unconstitutional, on the basis of which the Parliament concluded that she had ceased to hold office.
