Nikolić: ANB and UP denied their own allegations, another confirmation of complete chaos in the security sector

AUTHOR: M.J.
Today's joint statement by the National Security Agency and the Police Directorate regarding the threat of the former President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović, denying their own allegations from a month ago, is another confirmation of the chaotic situation in the security sector, DPS spokesman Miloš Nikolić said.
- Namely, on July 13, i.e. three weeks ago, the National Security Agency informed the public that they had operational information about the preparation of the assassination of former President Đukanović, while the Police Directorate stated on the same day that they did not have such information, that is - that the ANB did not informed about it. Also, what is particularly indicative is the fact that the Agency not only did not forward this information to the Police Directorate in a timely manner, but the security of Đukanović was further reduced in those days, Nikolić states.
As he said, after that, the UP announced that a case was formed regarding that information and a decision was made to strengthen security measures for Đukanović.
- We repeat, all these are the official positions of these two authorities, but today, the same authorities would announce that it is not true that Djukanović was threatened. So, another in a series of contradictory positions of the security sector in an attempt to cover up their inaction and unprofessionalism. This kind of attitude towards the protected person seriously damages the reputation of the country as a member of NATO, but it also causes insecurity among everyone who expects the state security authorities to behave responsibly and professionally, said Nikolić.
