Nikolić: The non-transparent Government was leading the country to a clique; Vuković: We cannot join the EU with this kind of government

We have an irresponsible government that did not fulfill its constitutional obligations to the parliament, said the head of the DPS Deputies Club, Andrija Nikolić.

"The prime minister avoided coming to three prime minister's hours. In a year, deputies only had the opportunity to ask questions to all ministers twice, although according to the rules of procedure, the use of that right is foreseen every other month. Also, two ministerial hours were not held, and control hearings of government representatives in the Assembly were delayed for an inappropriately long time, so that the passage of time would affect the relevance and topicality of the topics.

We have a non-transparent government that in the first eight months led the country to a click, because it held more telephone sessions than regular ones in a ratio of 37:36, ignoring the need to discuss some important issues in the government. "How non-transparent were the government's speeches and the fact that dozens of laws were pushed into the parliamentary procedure through members of the parliamentary majority, in order to avoid public discussion and the participation of the professional public," said Nikolić.

We have, as he added, the most cumbersome government in the world, which in the first year has shown that it is unable to deal with challenges, to rehabilitate the security situation and provide security to its citizens.

"Today, the citizens of Bijelo Polje live in fear because the state and its security apparatus have not been able to track down the killer for almost ten days. The management structures in the security sector have shown that they cannot stand up to organized crime, and clans organize murders in broad daylight. like recently in Cetinje. How can anyone feel safe in Montenegro today?" asked Nikolić.

We have, as he emphasizes, an incompetent government that has forgotten the inhabitants of Šavnik - cut off from the rest of Montenegro due to floods.

"An immature government that was not able to bury the infected cows and prevent the destruction of the livestock of Montenegro, but the epidemic is spreading while the herdsmen calculate how much damage has been caused due to the irresponsibility of the competent services and the relevant ministry. We have a wasteful government that decided to simply divide the spoils, misuse of state resources and party employment for more than 30 thousand people. We have a consumer government that did not attract any foreign investment. At the beginning of the mandate, the prime minister promised us that work on the second section of the highway would begin in September, but the shovel did not stuck to this day.

We have a government of indolence, during whose mandate the prices of basic foodstuffs, real estate and apartment rentals reached record amounts. Montenegro has never been as expensive to live as it is today. They have borrowed close to two billion and are not able to contain the inflation that has eaten up the increase in salaries and pensions. We have a quarrelsome government that has pitted us against our neighbors and has received a record number of protest notes. The members of this government ended up on the black list of Croatia - a country that is our first neighbor and proven friend, and is also a member of the EU," said Nikolić.

While the ruling coalition is celebrating the alleged successes achieved during the previous year, people in the north of Montenegro have been sitting locked in their homes for a week due to fear for their lives, said DPS MP Ivan Vuković.

"Previously, a student was wounded with a knife in the courtyard of the gymnasium in Bar, a doctor was wounded with a knife in the General Hospital in Pljevlje, in Cetinje, in broad daylight, there was a murder with dynamite, in Cetinje, in broad daylight, there was a sniper murder, during the campaign for local elections in Budva, criminals close to the ruling parties intimidated political opponents, pulling and firing pistols in a public place, and in Podgorica, another case of femicide happened that could and had to be prevented!

If we bear in mind the catastrophic situation in the security sector, which - among other things - is evidenced by the fact that recently the Minister of the Interior threatened the Prime Minister with a criminal report, that - due to exposed party interests - the Director of the Police Directorate was illegally dismissed three times in a year, and that his assistants have been in acting status for three years, that the report on the work of the director of the National Security Agency recently did not receive the support of the competent parliamentary committee, that the Minister of Defense - in front of the domestic and international public - is at war with the Chief of the General Staff, then he must not we are not surprised by the catastrophic security situation in the country.

Unfortunately, the situation in the country is not much better in other fields either," said Vuković.

While the ruling coalition, as he said, declaratively advocates good neighborly relations, the Deputy Prime Minister openly denies the independence of Kosovo, the President of the Assembly denies the genocide in Srebrenica, three leaders of the ruling parties - including the President of the Assembly and the Deputy Prime Minister - have been declared undesirable persons in Croatia.

"While the ruling coalition talks about 100 percent compliance with the EU's foreign and security policy, four ministers of the government of Montenegro vote against decisions on the extension of sanctions against the Russian Federation.

While the ruling coalition continues to talk about filling seats in the Constitutional Court as an important achievement ahead of getting Ibar, the Constitutional Court has been without a 7th judge for five months because the political trade within the ruling coalition has not been completed. By the way, we are also missing two members of the Prosecutor's Council," Vuković added.

While the ruling coalition, as she says, praises the efficiency of the prosecution, the MP of the ruling PES, who serves as the president of the administrative committee of the Parliament of Montenegro, does not allow to process the request of the same Prosecutor's Office to remove the immunity of the vice-president of the NSD and the president of the Municipality of Nikšić for the criminal offense of provoking national, racial and religious hatred.

"At the same time, the same Prosecutor's Office is currently determining whether a representative of the ruling PES laundered money for the needs of the leader of one of the two notorious criminal clans in Montenegro. While the ruling coalition praises the engagement of the new leadership of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, the same vice-president of the NSD and the president of the Municipality Nikšić ignores the opinion of the Agency on the incompatibility of the functions of the mayor and deputies. sector," he added.

While the ruling coalition, as he says, talks about professional media, the public service is completely politicized, and the private media are exposed to political and financial persecution.

"To conclude, at the end of the first year of the mandate of the current Government, Montenegro welcomes as a country whose first people do not respect its symbols, the Constitution and laws / a country in which - instead of a serious discussion about legal solutions and democratic control of the Government - the Assembly increasingly serves as an institution for treatment of decades of political frustrations of its unworthy president / a country in which the most important institutions are reduced to the measure of political trade and the realization of unhealthy personal ambitions of unqualified, incompetent and, quite often, illiterate officials of the parties in power / a country whose leadership supposedly strives for good neighborly relations, but does everything to quarrel us with our neighbors / a country where the ruling coalition is at war with the media and non-governmental organizations over which it fails to establish political control / a country where a huge number of people feel fear for their own safety. Despite all the efforts of the state-building, progressive, pro-European opposition, at the head with the Democratic Party of Socialists, invests in order for Montenegro to succeed on the path of European integration, a country with such a ruling majority cannot join the European Union," concluded Vuković.
