ODT Podgorica: The identity of the author of the threatening email sent to CEMI from Serbia is being determined

The Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Podgorica opened a case regarding death threats addressed to the Center for Monitoring and Investigation (CEMI). It was established that the threatening email was sent from Serbia.
CEMI representatives submitted a report to the Police Directorate yesterday and attached evidence of threats.
The acting prosecutor qualified the act as endangering security committed by an unknown person. In cooperation with the police, it was established that the threatening e-mail was sent from Serbia - it was stated in the press release of ODT Podgorica.
The Prosecutor's Office says that intensive work is being done to establish the identity of the person who sent the email.
For more than 20 years, CEMI has been investing significant efforts in order to democratize and improve society, and above all, as they say in that organization, to improve the integrity of the electoral process, in the public interest - they stated in the announcement.
They warn of the potential consequences of the growing polarization of Montenegrin society and emphasized negative rhetoric.
We believe that this is just one of the consequences of such behavior. We will continue dedicatedly with the preparation activities for the second round of the presidential elections, and we call on the competent institutions to provide us with the necessary protection - CEMI said yesterday.
