Office of the President of Montenegro: The government threatens the safety of Milatović and his family

Ignoring the request for the provision of a safe vehicle for the transportation of the President and his family by the Government indicates the continuity of ill-intentioned and irresponsible, but also illegal behavior towards this institution, which this time also threatens the safety of the President, the Office of the President of Montenegro replied to "Dan" .
"Dan" recently announced that the government of Milojko Spajić, i.e. the relevant ministries, have been ignoring the requests of the Office of the President of the State to provide a safe vehicle for transporting Milatović and his family for a year. The executive power also ignores the request to provide the missing funds needed for the operation of that institution.
- The fact that this threatens the safety of the president's wife and three minor children, who are also protected persons, is of particular concern. The urgency and necessity of purchasing a vehicle, which has been ignored by the Government for a year, and which would guarantee their safe and secure transportation, is primarily a matter of the safety of the President and his family. In addition, we note that the president of the country uses an "audi A8" vehicle from 2015, which has worn tires, which is why it is not used for movement outside of Podgorica and on the open road, as it would pose a traffic risk, according to the answers from this institution. .
In the answers from the Public Relations Office of the first man of the state, it is emphasized that the second vehicle, with the same characteristics, intended for the President's needs, is also unusable due to inadequate tires, and the Office of the President, unlike other budget units, has not been granted funds for this year their replacement, in order to put the vehicle into operation.
- Bearing in mind that these are vehicles that are not completely technically correct, the above-mentioned claim about the endangered security of the president of the state, which has been apostrophized several times by both the ANB and the Police Administration, is clear. Also, the cars accompanying the president, which are owned by the MUP, have traveled an average of 250,000 kilometers and are over 15 years old, which is contrary to the Rulebook on the characteristics of vehicles that can be used to accompany protected persons. Therefore, by denying the necessary funds to the institution of the President on the part of the Government, both in this and in other cases, its functioning is seriously threatened - warns the Office of the President of Montenegro.
At the same time, as they add, one gets the impression that the Government does not skimp on vehicles for its needs, especially in the context of the number of Vice Presidents and members of the Government.
- This is about obvious sabotage of the work of the President of the country as the highest state institution in the country, which represents a serious blow to the reputation of the country. In relation to all of the above, it can be concluded that the Prime Minister, in relation to the institution of the President, is driven by personal intolerance due to different political views.
The public had the opportunity to witness this relationship when, due to the criticism of the President of the State against the Government's moves that threaten the state interests of Montenegro, at the 2BS Summit in Budva, the Prime Minister resented the fact that the Government financially supported the organization of the Summit - they point out in the answers.
They also state that a similar thing happened during the organization of the Brdo-Brioni summit, where financial support from the Government was absent.
