On June 22, Raonic will be questioned as a suspect in the ODT

The General Director of Radio Television of Montenegro Boris Raonic will be questioned on June 22 as a suspect in the Basic State Prosecutor's Office - Television "E" learns.
In addition to him, as they state, the president and four members of the Public Service Council who made it possible for Raonic to be re-elected to the position of general director of RTCG will also be questioned as suspects.
Raonic was re-elected as CEO last month, despite a final High Court ruling that ruled his first election in 2021 illegal.
After that, the Media Center filed criminal charges against Raonic, the president and four members of the RTCG Council.
On May 30, the Higher Court in Podgorica confirmed the decision of the Basic Court according to which Raonic was illegally elected as the General Director of the Public Service, it was confirmed for our portal in this court at the time.
The case was discharged, the first-instance decision in the main legal matter was confirmed - we were informed by the High Court.
We remind you that at the beginning of January of this year, the Basic Court in Podgorica ruled in favor of journalist Nikola Marković in the proceedings against Radio Television of Montenegro and issued a verdict accepting the claim and canceling as illegal the decision of RTCG on the appointment of General Director of Public Service Boris Raonic.
The basic court in Podgorica accepted the claim of Nikola Marković and annulled as illegal the decision on the appointment of the general director of Radio Television of Montenegro Boris Raonic from August 6, 2021 - it is stated in the verdict, which Pobjeda had access to.
The court assessed that the decision on the appointment of Raonic, as well as the procedure for assessing the fulfillment of the conditions for the appointment of the general director, contained a number of irregularities.
In particular, the court indicated that the decision contains a legally valid explanation "given that the conditions that were considered during the evaluation of candidates' applications for the public competition were not specified, nor were the reasons why the applications of three candidates were rejected, i.e. why they did not meet the requirements for appointment to the position of general director".
The verdict was delivered on January 4 by judge Mladen Bulatović.
We remind you that in the lawsuit that Marković previously submitted to the Basic Court in Podgorica, it was written that the procedure by which the Public Service Council evaluated which candidates met the requirements for the appointment of the general director of that house contained a number of irregularities.
In addition to Marković, the lawsuit was also filed by Srđan Čović - both of them were opponents of Raonic, in the race for election to that position.
