Orlandic: The Boycott of the List important step to preserve integrity and fundamental values of Montenegro

The upcoming census of the population is reflected, above all, the absence of any desire to strive for adequate monitoring, which clearly indicates the intention of hairdressing the data to open the space for ethnic engineering in the function of the change of the Constitution that would follow, and all with The aim of giving up the civilian concept of the state, said the Vice President of the Social Democrat (SD) Danilo Orlandic.

Why are the same to those who sought to propose control mechanisms to the list held in 2011 and accepted them as the then government, this is not acceptable today? Obviously, one does not want to provide the transparency of the census process in terms of the appropriate monitoring and control of the entire process. On the other hand, there are clear signs of the politicization of the census, including the interference of religious and political figures outside Montenegro, and it is evident that it goes towards lying data from the list to perform a kind of ethnic engineering - said Orlandic.

He adds that the boycott of the census, unfortunately, is the only remaining option.

This is the only remaining way to deny the false information that is wanted to show the list, and prevent the harmful political agenda that is planned afterwards - said the SD Vice President.

Orlandic also invites other political entities, civil society and international actors to carefully consider this situation and support the efforts to provide a fair and transparent census in the future.

The boycott of the list is an important step to preserve the integrity and fundamental values of Montenegro - he concluded.
