Jakov Milatović's intention to obstruct the work of the 44th Government of Montenegro and the PES has been noticeable for a long time, which culminated in today's Twitter departure from the party - they said in the "Europe Now" Movement.
They hope, they say, that because of the public interest, the current president will find the strength to "rise above personal bigotry and that he will be guided by the interests of the citizens, in contrast to what he has done so far, and that he will not deviate from his constitutional powers."
We believe that it is good that Milatović realized that it was time to leave PES, so that society would not suffer because of personal dissatisfaction. This is a way to establish relations on a new basis, which, we hope, will be of better quality - they underlined in that party.
It is important, they say, for the sake of Montenegro, to maintain what he said in his Twitter resignation.
And that is to finally start working in the interest of the citizens instead of personal promotion - underlined in PES.
They say that since taking power, PES has contributed to reducing tensions in society and solving problems through dialogue with all political and social actors.
This dialogue resulted in the selection of key positions in the judiciary, a successful census, an increase in minimum pensions to 450 euros, as the first step of the Europe Now 2 program. affirmed European values. We will continue to advocate for the election of competent individuals to key positions, although we understand that this is a novelty on the political scene and that some political structures, and even individuals who were in PES until recently, oppose it - they stated in the announcement.
They also say that they will continue to fight for a better standard of citizens and, despite all the obstacles, an increase in their earnings and the implementation of the Europe Now 2 program to the end.
