Picula: Abazovic's laconic comments about the increasingly open EU warnings do not eliminate growing uncertainty

Prime Minister's laconic comments in the technical mandate of Dritan Abazovic about the increasingly open warnings from the European Union (EU) certainly do not eliminate the growing uncertainty, though it was probably a goal for him, the European Parliament reporter for Montenegro and former Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino said to CDMU Picula.

We remind you that after a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Slovenia, Abazovic told Tanja Fajon to reporters that he had not heard the negative news regarding the termination of negotiations with the European Union (EU).

I have not heard that we have a negative situation regarding the stopping of the European road - said Abazovic, despite the fact that Fajon pointed out on the same day that there was a threat to stop access negotiations if the crisis in Montenegro was not resolved.

CDM interlocutor warns that with contradictory moves and inconsistent politics, the authorities have been able to shake good will, support and conscientious work of all those who are continuously cheering for success and European prosperity of Montenegro.

However, the main question is why this coalition in power is persistently trying to bring Montenegro to those who are targeting the Western Balkan region at the time of Putin's adventure in Ukraine? Picula pointed out.

When asked what the consequences would occur in Montenegro if the negotiating process of the EU consent, Picula emphasized that Montenegro will not come near such a situation, but warns that the consequences would be multiple difficult.

The suspension of negotiations would especially dramatically embark on the economic situation in the country. All you have to do is remind you of the continuous economic and financial support that the EU provides Montenegro - he states.

He has undergone that the concern of the EU institutions has been growing for some time because of the long -lasting blockage of the key institutions of the political system as a result of deep polarization on the party scene and visible deviations from the policy that has positioned Montenegro as the leader of the expansion policy in the region.

Particularly dysfunctionality of the Constitutional Court threatens the legal order and the rule of law. The election of the Judge of the Constitutional Court will not be possible without the agreement of the authorities and the opposition - said the reporter of the European Parliament for Montenegro.

According to him, the process of approaching the European Union is a historical opportunity for Montenegro, but all responsible must enable the unblocking of institutions key to the normal functioning of the state.

The democratic part of the international community, that is, the western partners of Podgorica, are unique in this. If there is no agreement soon, the current structure of the Montenegrin authorities will be responsible for the betrayed trust, above all, the vast majority of their citizens, and then the external allies - Picula concluded.
