The leader of the Liberal Party, Andrija Popović, said after the meeting of the opposition where a joint presidential candidate was discussed, that the epilogue of the meeting was such that there would probably not be a joint candidate.
This is one of a series of meetings of the sovereignist bloc. The whole story will continue in a few days. Basically what we concluded is that we probably won't have a common candidate. There will be more of them within the sovereignist bloc, they will mostly be party leaders - he said.
He said that the story about non-party figures is no longer current.
By the end of the week, we expect a final decision to see how many candidates the sovereignist bloc will go with - concluded Popović.
Popović points out that the Liberal Party will soon come out with a position on how it will deal with and whether it will have a candidate in the elections.

When asked if he expects the candidacy of current president Milo Đukanović, Popović answered in the affirmative.

He also said that the tests show that it is clear that several candidates of the sovereignist bloc would animate more voters than if it were one candidate.
