Putin is not popular among the Russian diaspora in Montenegro

AUTHOR: M.J.
Only three percent of voters with Russian citizenship in Montenegro voted for the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, according to preliminary data from the volunteer association Voting Abroad (Golosuj za rubežo).
According to the data of this association, Russians in Montenegro voted the most for Putin's rival Vladimir Davankov - as many as 65 percent.
Russians living in Montenegro waited in lines in front of the Russian Embassy in Podgorica yesterday to exercise their right to vote in the presidential elections.
According to the data of the association of volunteers, more than 8,300 Russian citizens had the right to vote in Montenegro.
As expected, Putin won the elections in Russia convincingly, securing a fifth presidential term.
The situation was similar in Belgrade - 66 percent of Russians voted for Davankov, and three percent for Putin.
According to data from the Central Election Commission in Russia, Putin received a total of more than 87 percent of the vote and won a new mandate that will allow him to remain in power until 2030.
The presidential election marks the first major turnout in Russia since Putin launched an invasion of neighboring Ukraine in February 2022.
