RTCG workers wrote to Marković: Events in the Public Service are a classic example of white-collar crime

AUTHOR: M.J.
A group of RTCG workers sent a letter to the supreme state prosecutor, Milorad Marković, in which they remind him of the unexpected election of Boris Raonic to the position of general director of the Public Service and call on him to activate the Media Center lawsuits from June 2023 and the one sent to the Basic State Prosecutor's Office on November 9, 2023.
They warn that the events in RTCG have become a classic example of white-collar crime, "which is not often mentioned, but is permanently collapsing our society and state."
The letter from the RTCG employee is transmitted in its entirety:
Dear All,
Your almost consensual election was one of the rare events on the public scene that united both the political and professional part of the public, but also hinted to the citizens that meritocracy can be the foundation of the State.
However, we must assert that law and justice do not reside in opportunistic elections, appointments and reports, but in serious and timely action.
Therefore, we remind you of the statement made on February 1, 2024, that one of the priorities of the work of the SDT will be the investigation related to the doubly illegal elections in the RTCG, which we must also state, simply mislead both the professional and lay public, except for a few political amateurs.
On August 6, 2021, Boris Raonic was illegally elected by the RTCG Council in a procedure that was led by Veselin Drljević in violation of the regulations. Despite the decision of the High Court, which confirmed the decision of the Basic Court in the case in which Nikola Marković sued RTCG for selecting a candidate who had a conflict of interest, Raonic was re-elected.
This re-election was contested at the Basic Court, both due to a conflict of interest, and due to Raonic's elementary unqualification for this job, which is manifested in the fact that he graduated from the Faculty of Law at the age of 44 after 25 years of study, so he could not acquire legal and managerial experience, which includes 10 years of work experience. Therefore, from 2018 to 2021, not 10 years have passed, which was also stated by KAS. In truth, all these complications with professional demotions and long-term exhausting trials paid for by the citizens of Montenegro would not have happened if the UIP-Labor Inspection had reacted in a timely manner and simply noted the elementary fact of Boris Raonic's lack of work experience.
In addition to the violation of the Labor Law, the Law on the National Public Broadcaster, the Law on Lobbying, and the Law on Prevention of Corruption, we believe that the abuse of official position has resulted in a large material gain for Raonic and his managers, in violation of the Law on Salaries of Public Sector Employees. It is still not clear to us what is the interest of the majority of the members of the RTCG Council to put the public interest aside and to continue acting as if everything is fine despite the warnings of the workers, the media and the public. If there is an interest and connection, then due to the number and organization of the people involved in these processes, one can also speak of an organized criminal group that pursues its interests by connecting with political workers, shaping media services as needed, but also offering new legal solutions for the self-reliance of media power. . Moreover - it is openly discussed that the new legal solution, along with temporary resignations or acting status, will once again derogate from the decisions of the Basic Court.
Without wanting to overdo the analysis and advice, we have to point out that this is not just any public service, but an absolutely key media institution in the country. Our task is to inform and educate.
That's why we believe that the events in RTCG, with lateral events and influence in politics, are a classic example of white-collar crime, which is not often mentioned, but is permanently collapsing our society and state. This time, all the evidence is on the table and in the minutes of the RTCG Council, the Court, but also in the already finalized decisions of judicial bodies and agencies (with the silence of the inspection). The investigation does not require forensic activities or listings and transcripts of telephone conversations. Everything is crystal clear and we ask you to do everything in the domain of professional, responsible and timely action to make active the Media Center lawsuit from June 2023 and the lawsuit addressed to ODT on November 9, 2023.
If someone from the domestic political nomenclature interferes with your officials, say so.
If someone from the "international community", which Raonic often refers to when he wants to implement his illegal intentions, wants to influence this case, be warned.
Since we are absolutely credible with our argument, act.
