Ryaner: Montenegrin airports are increasing taxes, while all others in Europe are reducing them

AUTHOR: M.J.
Low-budget airline Ryanair said that airports in Montenegro, unlike airports in Europe, increase taxes.
- As you know, airports in Montenegro have increased fees compared to other European airports that reduce fees in order to stimulate the recovery and growth of traffic - Pobjeda was informed by this Irish company.
Such actions, they say, are in contrast to what can be seen across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
When asked if and when canceled flights will be restored, Ryanair says that maintaining and increasing capacity depends on long-term security with low costs.
We remind you that, from the end of October, Rajaner will fly only on the route Podgorica - London.
- The airline does not plan to operate flights from Berlin, Krakow and Gdańsk during the winter. These destinations join Charleston, Zagreb and Manchester, which were relegated to the summer season last year. As a result, Ryanair will have only four weekly rotations between London and Podgorica during the 2024/25 winter season - writes EX-YU Aviation.
The newly appointed general manager of Montenegro Airport, Roko Tolić, recently acknowledged the problem and plans to convince Ryanair to reconsider its decision. He will soon meet with the airline's management in Dublin.
- We hope for positive developments, but more will be known in October. Our discussions aim to stop this trend and foster stronger relationships that thrive. I don't have a magic wand. Changes will not happen overnight. However, we are working hard every day to prepare as well as possible for the upcoming season. We offer airlines millions in discounts every year - said Tolić.
