Saičić: The priest helped the poachers, the state to enable us to use the means of coercion

SOURCE: POBJEDA / M.J.
The head of the Skadar Lake National Park Protection Service, Vuk Saičić, who was attacked last night in an action to prevent poaching, said that it is time for the state to allow them to carry means of coercion to defend themselves in such situations. He announced that he will inform the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral about last night's incident, in which his colleague Marko Gluščević was also injured, because a priest who helped the poachers also participated in that event.
Citizen activist Aleksandar Dragićević informed the public about the attack on Lake Skadar with a video showing poachers roughly trying to prevent supervisors from performing their duties. They also used oars and oars and caused injuries to them on that occasion.
A few hours later, the police announced that they had identified the culprits, and that they were working intensively to find them and shed light on the incident.
Saičić says that one of the two attackers is known to them. He points out that this is the fourth attack on the security guards of Lake Skadar and that it is time for the state to react.
One face is known to us and his last name is Prenkić, while the other is unknown to us. They physically attacked us, they threw stones at us and there was close contact. We suffered injuries, which they confirmed last night at the Emergency Center. This is a call for the state, the Government, all competent institutions. We are bare-handed, and we have all the legal licenses to possess means of coercion. Now is the moment or never - said Saičić in a statement to TV Nova M.
And the director of National Parks (NPCG) Vladimir Martinović is asking for an adequate response from the state. He points out that supervisors are at risk, which is why he requires systemic support "in order to deal with business worth hundreds of thousands of euros".
