SD: We don't have time for experiments, we need a clear, stable and valued majority

Montenegro, after three years of socio-political agony, has no more time for experiments of a similar type, say the Social Democrats.
In that party, they say that there are many important tasks ahead of us that must be completed, both at the level of the government and at the level of the parliament.
Because of this, any government that would have a majority smaller than three-thirds would not be able to deliver concrete and necessary results on Montenegro's path to the EU. This number is necessary for the necessary appointments in the Constitutional Court, the Judicial Council, the election of the VDT, and their completion is a condition for the continuation of Montenegro's European path. On the other hand, only such a government could reduce the tensions that have been at a record level in the last year or two, and very often in the public we can read about the consequences of their escalation - according to the SD.
The Social Democrats state that it is of great importance that a stable majority be formed on a single platform of pro-Western values.
We have seen what governments that were formed purely for the sake of being formed look like and end up, without a value platform that brought together the members of those two governments. In order not to have an apostolic or treacherous minority government again, we must take care of the key principles - that Montenegro is an independent, civil state, that it must be a credible NATO partner and that it must be fully committed to its European path - emphasized the SD - in.
They believe that after that, a clear vision of Montenegro must be set in the coming period in all areas, starting with economy, social, health, education.
Only a government based on such foundations and a government that has a stable, even three-thirds majority, can lead Montenegro on the path of progress - they concluded in the statement.
