The authors of the film "Witness of God's Love" wrote to the RTCG Council: Rerun the documentary about Amfilohi because of the interest of citizens

Tanja Šuković and Snežana Rakonjac, TVCG journalists and authors of the film "Witness of God's Love", sent a letter to the president and members of the Council of RTCG, after the government gave approval yesterday for the erection of a monument to Metropolitan Amfilohi of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Berane.

We transmit the letter in its entirety:

"Dear professors, doctors, assistant professor Veselin Drljević, president of the Council,

As you know, the government of Montenegro yesterday gave its approval for the construction of a monument to Metropolitan Amfilohije Radović. We appreciate that such a decision of the Government is the right reason for the re-broadcast of the documentary film "Witness of God's Love", in order to remind the citizens of Montenegro once again of the figure and work of the late Metropolitan.

We are addressing you as the head of the Council, a body that has indisputable authority in the editorial office of the Public Service. Although you normally do not interfere in editorial policy, we believe that you will make an exception this time and suggest to the TVCG editorial team that the documentary be repeated. At stake is a higher goal, the interest of the citizens, and we know that you and your colleagues are exclusively dedicated to that sacred mission - serving the interests of the citizens of our country!

Since "The Witness of God's Love" was shown almost a year before the "liberation", during the Lithia revolution, we will remind you of the key messages of the film in which Metropolitan Amfilohije speaks about himself.

In this precious film testimony, the metropolitan's authentic statements and sermons in which he supports the Greater Serbian national project are recorded; denies the Montenegrin identity, language, script, culture, state and nation; insults, swears and curses Montenegrins; relativizes the genocide in Srebrenica and war crimes, and glorifies war criminals. The film also clearly shows whom Amfilohije Radović respected and what his favorite political environment was. We will mention a few names - Radovan Karadžić, Željko Ražnatović Arkan, Vojislav Šešelj, Slobodan Milošević, Draža Mihajlović...

You are probably well aware, eminent names from the region - scientists, journalists, cultural workers, qualified this film "as an extraordinary exposé on the life and work of Amfilohi Radović". That's why, as the authors of the film, we appreciate that you recognize how important it is for the Montenegrin public to again see a document about a man who to a large extent shaped political, social and religious life.
