The RTCG council ignores the letters and questions of the seven candidates for general director

AUTHOR: M.J.

Seven candidates for the election of the general director of RTCG sent a new letter to the president and members of the Public Service Council with questions to which they did not receive an answer.

We publish the letter in its entirety:

We remind you that last week we sent a letter with a proposal for transparent implementation of the competition for the general director of RTCG, which implies the timely publication of the program and candidates' biographies on the RTCG portal, as well as the broadcast of interviews with candidates on the Parliamentary channel in the presence of media representatives, as was previously the practice .

Until the moment of writing this address, we have not received any response.

Accordingly, as candidates for the general director whose job description is crucial to ensure the legality of the work of RTCG, we want to include the wider professional public and to help the already obviously indisposed Council of RTCG (most of it), and since yesterday also suspiciously legal, to present this process in a dignified and legal way.

Therefore, we ask the questions:

1. Who overlooked the fact that Boris Raonic was twice appointed as the general director, by Decision of the RTCG Council, no. 01-5582, dated August 6, 2021. year and the Decision of the RTCG Council, no. 01-3576 from 01.06.2023. year?

We remind you, Article 35 of the Law on the National Public Broadcaster states that "the same person can be appointed as the general director a maximum of two times".

2. Who issued and signed a certificate to Boris Raonić that he has 5 years of work experience, given that Article 5, Item 8 of the Labor Law defines work experience as "the time spent in employment and professional training in accordance with the law, in qualification of the level of education, that is, in the professional qualification''?

From the attached documents, it is easy to see that Boris Raonic obtained the VII1 degree in April 2018, and that the Basic, Higher, Supreme Court and KAS confirmed that his appointments were illegal, so at best he has 3 years and 4 months of legal work experience.

We believe that logical answers to these questions will determine the future of the RTCG as an institution, and the social status of the members of the RTCG Council.
