The season in Zabljak depends on the snow, a lot of canceled reservations

The winter season in Zabljak will depend on the operation of the ski resort, that is, on the snow, and according to current forecasts, the first serious snow can be expected in mid-January, said the director of the Zabljak Tourist Organization, Vanja Krgović Sarović.
"This will certainly have a negative impact on the quality of the season and attendance, because January is the month when school holidays, holidays and actually the highest attendance," Krgović Šarović told the Mina-business agency.
She added that occupancy of accommodation facilities for the New Year holidays in Zabljak is about 70 percent.
"After the holidays, we have a lot of cancellations of reservations, precisely because of the lack of snow and the impossibility of skiing," said Krgović Sarović.
When it comes to preparations for the season, the Tourist Organization Zabljak did all the preparations for the activities, including promotion in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kragujevac and Zagreb, because the main guests are locals and from the region.
"In addition to skiing, the main activities for the season are snowmobiling, snowshoeing, snowshoeing, horse riding in winter conditions, activities in the sports center, such as the gym, bowling alley and sports fields," said Krgović Sarović.
She added that free tourist buses will be organized during the season, which will transport guests from the hotel to the ski resort and back. This offer is part of the cooperation between TO Zabljak, the Chamber of Commerce, the National Tourist Organization and the Municipality of Zabljak.
