The UIIK Administration did not allow CEMI representative to visit the paragraph in despite the permit of the High Court

The Management Board for Criminal Sanctions (UIKS) did not allow the representative of the Monitoring and Research Center (CEMI) to visit the Detention of Milivoj Katnić, the former Chief Special Prosecutor, despite the approval from the President of the High Court in Podgorica.

The visit to visit was issued today, with the possibility that it can only be used today, on the 13th of the current year. However, after the CEMI representative approached the investigating prison, the Official Officer, after consulting the administration informed that the Management Board does not allow a visit. We regret the treatment of the UIK Administration refused to act on the decision of the President of the High Court - they state in Cemi.

They assessed that such a proceedings of the Management Board of the Investigative Prison enhances concerns and awakens the suspicion and condition and conditions in which the Katnić detention is located.

- The CEMI calls for the competent to allow the visit of the CEMI observer in accordance with the decision of the High Court, and enable us to determine in what condition and conditions, the Katnić detention is located. We also ask for the reaction of the Minister of Justice - they stated from that organization.

Clarify that the visit is not realized at the request of the detainee, but on the basis of Article 183. Paragraph 3, which is domesticated by domestic rights that are allowed to inspect the conditions in which detainees reset.

- As a non-governmental organization, which has been implementing court proceedings for many years, with the aim of improving human rights in the Judicial System of Montenegro, that imperative to provide detainees to adequate medical care and conditions.

They said that as NGOs, this case will follow, "despite the behavior of the UIK administration and rejection to proceed in court decision."
