Three days ago, Sait Demirović died in a fire in Zaljevo near Bar. As his daughter Emina Yildiz told us, her father died in his own house from a fire caused by a heater. The unfortunate Demirović fell asleep after turning on the heater, which was connected to an extension cord. The fire started when the extension cord caught fire, and the fire spread to the parquet, wooden interior fittings and furniture. The fire spread quickly and engulfed most of the house. After the fire was noticed, the Protection and Rescue Service was called, with a fire brigade involved. As the victim's daughter told us, the firefighters arrived about 40 minutes after the call, and the police and emergency medical services followed them. During that time, the fire had engulfed most of the house, and after the fire was extinguished, the charred body of the unfortunate Demirović was found. What is worrying is the fact that although there is a police report in which the victim's daughter said that no timely action was taken, almost all Montenegrin media published false information that the firefighters and police arrived within a few minutes of the call. It remains to be seen whether justice will be served and whether someone will be held responsible for not responding adequately. However, this will not be a great comfort to the family because they lost their father Saito, known in the community as a hardworking, honest and hardworking man always ready to help everyone. Our investigator will try to get answers from the authorities about all these facts in the coming days.
