The trial of the President and members of the Council of Radio Television of Montenegro Veselin Drljević, Predrag Miranović, Filip Lazović, Amina Murić and Naod Zorić for abuse of official position in co-perpetration, and regarding the illegal re-election of the Director General of RTCG Boris Raonić on June 1, 2023, has been postponed to March 7.
The hearing was not held due to spatial and technical capacities - due to the large presence of journalists and defense attorneys.
Judge of the Basic Court Dragana Lubarda, who is presiding over the trial, announced that the next hearing will be held in a large courtroom. Witnesses Marijana Camović-Veličković, Bojan Baća and Milica Špajak did not come today because they were not served with summonses.
After a year and five months of investigation, the Basic State Prosecutor's Office filed an indictment on November 22nd due to reasonable suspicion that the President of the Council and four members acted illegally. Raonić was appointed by the RTCG Council as the Director General of the Public Service Broadcasting Company four times in three years, once in an acting mandate.
