The Center for Civic Education and the DAMAR Institute presented the findings of the research within the joint initiative CG pulse.

Executive Director of the DAMAR Institute Vuk Čađenović said that they conducted the research in the last session of February and the first week of March.

"We used census data on a sample of 1,002 residents. 36.6 percent believe that the situation is positive or stable, Uncertainty has increased from 6 to 14 percent, indicating a decrease in optimism. 28.4 percent stated that they are mostly worried. Citizens cite the fight against corruption, living standards and unemployment as the biggest problems," said Čađenović.

Čađenović added that citizens trust religious organizations, the education and health systems the most.

CCE Executive Director Daliborka Uljarević announced that 56.7 percent believe that someone must bear responsibility for the Cetinje massacre.

"This position prevails in the wider social milieu, and responsibility is recognized in the Police and the Minister of Police. 86 percent have heard of the protests, and about 17 percent have participated in them, which means that the protest potential is greater than what we saw on the streets. About 61 percent support the students' demands," Uljarević announced.

Uljarević said that support for the resignations of Šaranović and Bečić is between 46 and 48 percent.

"57.9 percent support the protests in Serbia, while 22.4 percent do not support them. Party preferences have a significant influence on this. Those who support Aleksandar Vučić's policies do not support the protests in Serbia," said the CCE Executive Director.

Čađenović said that 38.2 percent believe that monthly income is sufficient, and 46.6 percent that it is not.

“This is a decrease compared to the previous year in those whose income is sufficient. 47 percent say that their standard of living is the same as before, while the number of those who said that they live worse has increased. Almost a third of citizens believe that the government and retail chains, as well as global trends, are equally to blame for high prices,” said Čađenović.

Uljarević said that 22.9% believe that the GST can initiate proceedings against politicians who have broken the law.

“The number of those who believe that proceedings are initiated against those who are politically weak is significantly decreasing. Too many of them think that only abuses from the DPS era are under scrutiny, while there is a huge number of those who cannot decide on this issue,” she said.
