On November 6, the National Security Agency of Montenegro came into possession of information about the potential threat to the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, about which it informed him in direct communication, according to a joint statement from the Police Administration and the National Security Agency.
"The Agency also informed the Director of the Police Administration about the above.
The Agency also carried out a number of activities to verify and deepen the aforementioned information, as well as to verify the reliability of the source.
In this regard, the findings so far point to the conclusion that this is probably disinformation from third countries.
The National Security Agency, in cooperation with the Police Administration, will continue to continuously implement security protection measures in relation to the President of Montenegro and members of his immediate family," the statement reads.
