AUTHOR: M.J. GDNUS
Vice-President and MP of DPS Ivan Vuković expressed his doubt that the ruling majority may intend to initiate proceedings for the dismissal of the President of the State and warned that in that scenario the President of the Assembly would take over his position, and emphasized that all this should be viewed through the prism of current events in the Black Army. Gore and the Ministry of Defense and the entire chain of command responsibility.
"You have heard that in the context of the post-election combinatorics in Podgorica, members of the ruling coalition threatened President Milatović and sent a message that if he betrays the will of August 30, we will know what we will do with him. Between the lines is the possibility of starting a procedure to dismiss the President. If that scenario were to happen, and it is hard for me to believe that it is possible, for the first time the function of the President of the State would be performed by the President of the Assembly should also be viewed through that prism," said Vuković in the Sunday in the rear-view mirror show on TV Vijesti.
Commenting on the current conflict between the Minister of Defense Dragan Krapović and the Chief of the General Staff of the Army of Montenegro Zoran Lazarević, Vuković said that "it is evident that someone is trying to establish political control over the Ministry of Defense as well."
"If General Lazarevic is not where he should be, at meetings of NATO members, it will be another slap in the face to Montenegro. Unfortunately, party politics and the desire to take advantage of the political moment dominate again, regardless of what the state pays for," he said. Vuković.
Deputy Prime Minister Milun Zogović said that this is the first time he has heard the idea of starting the procedure for the dismissal of the President of Montenegro, but he did not rule out the possibility.
