Vuksanović: The good spirit of relations between Zagreb and Podgorica no longer exists

SOURCE: POBJEDA / M.J.
The behavior of Defense Minister Dragan Krapović is damaging the good relations with Croatia that Montenegro has always had. Obviously, we no longer have that good spirit between Zagreb and Podgorica, said Adrijan Vuksanović, president of the Croatian Civic Initiative (HGI), for Antenu M.
Croatian Defense Minister Ivan Anušić announced yesterday that the meeting with his Montenegrin counterpart was canceled due to his statements about the plaque in Morinje and the ship Jadran.
The views of Minister Krapović, which he expressed in the media in recent days, leave no room for discussion and completely deviate from the views of the Republic of Croatia and historical facts - answered Anušić when asked by Pobjeda to comment on the media allegations that he canceled the meeting with Krapović.
Vuksanović said that Anušić explained the cancellation of the meeting in a well-argued manner.
This is completely in accordance with all the principles and principles that are based on the truth, on everything that we had 30 years ago, and we are trying and making efforts to overcome and to establish good relations, friendly and partnership, such as we had - he pointed out. is Vuskanović.
He emphasized that the Croatian citizens' initiative has one of its missions, which is to strengthen already existing good relations.
Now we will have the task, as things stand, to re-establish those good relations. All these good relations must be based on the truth, and the truth is that thirty or so years ago Croatia was attacked, exposed to aggression, and we see how inconsistent some Montenegrin politicians are. They all lament over Dubrovnik and only use it in a functional role when they need to attack the Democratic Party of Socialists and its coalition partners, including HGI. However, in essence, they do not recognize her as a victim, but would remove the memorial plaque, change what is written on it, and certainly all of this is something that does not contribute to good relations between Montenegro and the Republic of Croatia - Vuksanović believes.
He believes that Prime Minister Milojko Spajić should distance himself from such actions of his Minister of Defense.
Until Mr. Spajić makes up his mind and deviates from his minister's statements, that is the de facto position of the Government itself. That can only be understood that way until the prime minister himself speaks - says Vuskanović.
Krapović and Anušić were supposed to meet on the framework of celebrating the Day of the Croatian People in Montenegro.
Krapović said in a statement to "Vijesti" that he was previously informed that Anušić "will only be in Montenegro for a few hours tonight".
In the format of the envoy of Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, and that the Vice-President of the Croatian Government and Minister of Defense Anušić looks forward to meeting on another occasion - added Krapović.
When asked if it was true that the meeting was canceled because of his statements about the plaque in Morinje, on the ship Jadran, Prevlaci replied that he "didn't go into whether there was something behind it".
