On the occasion of the death of a woman in labor from Ulcinj, a protest called "We want the truth for Drita" was held in that city at noon.
The gathering is organized by women's non-governmental organizations from Ulcinj, and coordinated by the NGO SOS telephone for women and children victims of violence Ulcinj.
As previously announced by the organizers, they will demand that the public learn the truth about these cases from the gathering on the occasion of the unfortunate event - the death of Drita Zati Tafa's mother and the serious health condition of A.A's mother.
They are also asking for the involvement of all relevant state authorities in order to determine the cause of the death of mother Drita Tafa, and the goal of the protest is to send an appeal that such tragic cases be the last and that the women of Ulcinj receive genuine and responsible health care and medical assistance.
The President of the Municipality of Ulcinj Genci Nimanbegu said that no child in the world deserves to be an orphan, the husband of the deceased Drita Tafa, Arben Tafa, said that the last words she addressed to her husband before her death were, "Take care of our children".
Drita Tafa's brother, Ejub Zatović, said that he was extremely outraged by the statement of the director of the Bar hospital, who informed the public in yesterday's address that all medical principles and rules of the profession were respected in the treatment of patient Tafa.
One of the demands that was apostrophized to the protest today is that the women of Ulcinj receive adequate health and medical care, as well as that a special session of the Ulcin Municipal Assembly be held, at which the main topic will be the training of the maternity hospital in Ulcinj for work, because as the women of Ulcinj say from the protest they deserve it.
At the protest, the difficult health condition of the mother Asmira Lukolić Aljošević was mentioned.
- This woman in labor is still in intensive care at the KBC - a 26-year-old woman, today is the 56th day since giving birth, and she has been in coma for 20 days - said Hatidže Neljaj, coordinator of the protest, while Asmira Aljošević's mother pointed out that her daughter, although gave birth to her first child, she still did not caress her daughter, and that after the birth she was told that everything went well, and two hours later, Asmiri's kidneys were not were functioning, and her platelets were in great decline.
- We have to fight for justice, a mother will not hug her children, my daughter has not yet met and petted her child - said Bukurija Lukolić.
The protest was held on the Plateau of Mother Teresa, near the Health Center.
A protest walk was organized from the Health Center to the roundabout - Maslina Square.
