With the mediation of the USA, Montenegro submits two amendments to the German resolution on Srebrenica

With the mediation of the USA, Montenegro will submit two amendments to the German Resolution on Srebrenica in order to achieve better relations and calm political tension in the region. As it was unofficially confirmed for Portal RTCG from the Government, the amendments envisage the individualization of guilt for the genocide in Srebrenica, but also the insistence on strict respect for Dayton.

The first amendment reads:

1) repeating that guilt for the crime of genocide is individualized and cannot be attributed to any ethnic, religious or other group or community as a whole

And others:

2) confirming the inviolability of the general framework agreement for peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina in all its provisions

These amendments, as RTCG said in the Government, prevent any potential manipulation to the detriment of Serbia and the Serbian people in terms of any legal and political repercussions.

The second amendment essentially additionally affirms the existence of Republika Srpska within Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is guaranteed by the Dayton Agreement.
