Zirojević: Opposition to exit the Committee if amending the Law on the Pollayer List are on the agenda of the Assembly on March 11

Author: M.J.

If the Law on Amendments to the Law on the Bill on the Population Law remains on March 11, representatives of opposition parties should leave the Committee on Comprehensive Election Reform, said the MP of Social Democrat Nikola Zirojević.

Repeated scenario

The last day of the parliamentary session in 2023 was marked by a gallon of the opposition, on the one hand, and the presidee of the Assembly of Andrija Mandić and the proposer of Momcilo Leković from Democratic Montenegro, which resulted in the withdrawal of the bill on the electorate. The opposition was an unacceptable interpretation of the Parliamentary majority and the President of the Assembly that the Law on the Voter List does not belong to the set of election laws, and will insist that this topic is part of the work of the election reform committee and not to participate in the work of that body.

However, there was again in a situation that most attempts to "move the bill on the voter list, which interpret in the opposition exclusively as a new attempt to demolish the Committee on Comprehensive Election Legislation Reform.

Zirojevic assesses that the intention of meeting the disputed law on the proceedings on March 11, the disputed law on the voter list is not in favor of the functioning of the Committee for Comprehensive Election Reform. It is explicit that this issue should be considered within that parliamentary body and thus reach consensus.

The previous time representatives of the opposition were ready and resolved to leave the Committee on Comprehensive Election Reform because thus fully inspected its concept of functioning. This is one of the laws that should be considered on the board and around which consensus should be achieved. I do not see why anyone would be adopted by anyone's solution, nor is it a positive step forward to overcome about those legal solutions that should be part of the election reform. My position is that if the representatives of the authorities do not give up the Law on the Billage list on March 11, representatives of opposition parties should leave the Committee on Comprehensive Election Reform, as we intended to do the previous trip - pointed out is Zirojević for our sheet.

The absence of the agreement and the selfishness would, considered Zirojevich, was a huge step back in European integration after Montenegro finally, after three and a half years, received positive signals by the international community and partner.

Representatives of the parliamentary majority must be aware that in which case, they have no more partners for this story. In that case, in our colleagues and colleagues, in that case, in that case, they explain to our international partners what happened and why they have taken such unilateral steps to a complete blockade of the election reform that is expected - Zirojević concluded.

Elective tourism

In the amendments to the Law on the Voting List, which were originally proposed by the Road to the "Election Tourism", by moving voters from one municipality for another due to the abolition of residential terms on the residence for six months in that municipality.

In this way, the ruling majority tries to solve the problem of interrupted elections in Savnik. According to these changes, only voters may be enrolled in the excerpt from the concluded voter list for that polling station.

As at the end of last year, the head of the Deputies of the Democratic Party of Socialists Andrija Nikolić, the Law on the Voter List, in accordance with the Representatives of Authority and Opposition, in the formation of the Committee for Comprehensive Election Reform, should be content and The subject of the decision-making of the Committee on Comprehensive Reform of Election Legislation.

It has not been found that the practice, which was established from the beginning of this convening of the parliament, is not good to obviously aim, not only to demolish any potential agreement in the comprehensive reform of electoral legislation, but also to turn off the opposition from the parliamentary life.
