Nina Žižić presented the final-official version of the Eurovision song "Dobrodošli" in the show "Pod naponom" on the First Program of the Public Service.
Žižić will represent Montenegro with this song at the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel - on May 15th in the second semi-final.
If she earns enough votes from the audience and the jury, and takes a place among the top 10 in the second semi-final, she will be expected to perform in the final two days later.
Otherwise, she will return to her homeland immediately after the semi-final.
As a reminder, Nina, as the runner-up at Montesong, earned an invitation from RTCG to represent Montenegro, and after the withdrawal of the winner of this festival, the band NeonoeN, due to violation of the competition rules.
The Montenegrin hopeful had only words of praise for the popular revamped version.
“I can freely say that the final version of the song is better than the previous one, more powerful, more attractive. Everything we wanted from the very beginning is now here. Darko Dimitrov packaged it perfectly, starting with the backing vocals and some new elements,” Žižić previously pointed out for the RTCG Portal.
The song is now in front of a domestic and international audience. It will be especially interesting for Eurovision fans.
Nina is satisfied with the work done.
“I sincerely believe that the audience will react positively to the changes and the final version of the song. In the first reactions privately, playing the song to friends and acquaintances, everyone mostly likes the changes. Most often they say that ‘Dobrodošli’ now sounds more powerful to them, which was the goal,” added Žižić.
The authors of the song are Boris Subotić (music, lyrics) and Violeta Mihajlovska (lyrics).
The arrangement was done by the aforementioned Dimitrov.
The Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled for May 13-17. It will be the 69th edition of the most popular music competition in the world.
