Five people were killed in a massacre in a house near Seattle, and a 15-year-old boy is suspected of the murders, the authorities of the federal state of Washington announced today. Two adults and three children lost their lives in the shooting, and one girl was wounded, the police said.
Sheriff's Department spokesman Mike Mellis told reporters at the scene that the suspect was taken into custody without incident. The motive of the crime is not yet known, nor is it whether all the persons involved in this tragic event are family related.
Sheriff's deputies received multiple calls about a shooting at a home in Fall City, about 10 miles east of Seattle. Before the doctor arrived at the scene of the crime, the victims were given first aid by their neighbor.
The 15-year-old suspect was taken to a juvenile detention center and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday or Wednesday.
