The newly elected president of the US Donald Trump stated that he could not exclude the possibility of using military force or economic coercion, including the increase in customs, when it comes to taking control of Greenland and the Panama channel.
When asked of journalists during the address in his residence of the Mar-Lago whether he would exclude the use of "military or economic coercion" to achieve the goal of winning those territories, the newly elected president replied with "No".
He said that both territories are needed now because of "economic security" countries.
Tramp reiterated that it is planned to introduce "serious customs" to products from Canada and Mexico and announced that it will change the name of the Mexican Bay in the American Bay, Reuters reports.
He pointed out that he believes that each NATO member state should allocate 5 percent of the budget on defense, compared to at least two percent towards the current contract.
At the same time, he warned that he would revoke the ban on drilling oil and gas at the sea announced by the outgoing Democratic President Joe Biden in order to fight pollution.
"I'll undo it right away. I will reject the ban on drilling oil and gas in large areas on the first day, "Trump said.
