US President-elect Donald Trump said on his first day in office that he would sign an executive order tomorrow to allow TikTok to temporarily resume operations in the US, while suggesting that the US government could take partial ownership of the social network.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that he "will not let TikTok remain in the dark" after he takes office tomorrow. The app, as a reminder, cut off access to Americans last night in anticipation of the TikTok ban law, which was passed last year. After being upheld by the Supreme Court last week, the law takes effect today.
