BREAKING NEWS - Protests in more than 30 cities in Serbia

Protests called for by students in blockade will be held across Serbia tonight under the slogan "Tonight you are shooting at the seams". Citizens will take to the streets in more than 30 cities, all after last night's stormy clashes between citizens and progressives, and citizens and the police.

A group of protesters demolished the premises of the Serbian Progressive Party on Bulevar oslobođenja in Novi Sad.

At one point, they took out chairs, as well as kraton eggs and water from the premises. They threw the eggs at the premises.

A group of about 20 men gathered tonight in the immediate vicinity of the Radio Television of Serbia building in downtown Belgrade. Groups of men dressed in this way have so far mostly been the culprits of riots at student protests, which have intensified especially in recent days, reports Nova.rs.

Citizens fear what their role could be during tonight's protests, the portal states, adding that their gathering resembles a "working meeting".

Citizens gathered at the SNS premises on Kneza Miloša Street, where they were met by a cordon of the Gendarmerie.

Activists of the party are in front of the SNS. A verbal conflict is ongoing between protesters and police, as well as protesters and SNS activists.

A large number of Novi Sad residents gathered tonight in front of the BIA premises in that city, according to media reports.

The police set up fences at the BIA building on Bulevar oslobođenja in Novi Sad, where a gathering of citizens was announced for 19:45, Razglas news reports.
