Palestine demands urgent action from international community over Israeli war in Gaza

AUTHOR:M.J. GDNUS

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine announced today that it is demanding that the international community act in accordance with Chapter 7 of the United Nations Charter, in order to stop, as they say, the genocidal war that Israel is waging against the Palestinian people.

"Palestine demands that the international community act in accordance with Chapter 7 of the UN Charter to stop Israel's ongoing genocidal war," according to a statement provided by the Palestinian Embassy in Montenegro.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the attack by Israeli forces on medical, humanitarian and journalistic personnel at the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis.

“This is a true war crime and a crime against humanity, committed in full view of the international community. This crime falls within the framework of the war of genocide, displacement, starvation and annexation to which the Palestinian people are subjected, and represents a continuous attempt to conceal the truth about the massacres committed by the Israeli occupation army, which are a disgrace to humanity,” the statement added.

The Palestinian Authority emphasizes that the international consensus on stopping the war must be implemented into concrete and binding measures, including the establishment of a United Nations peacekeeping force to protect civilians in Gaza.

“The Ministry demands that the international consensus on stopping the genocide be quickly implemented into binding practical steps to force Israel to adhere to this consensus, including the establishment of a UN peacekeeping force to protect Palestinian civilians and ensure sustainable aid delivery to the Gaza Strip,” the statement concluded.
