Police in Canada are searching for the suspected shooter after at least 12 people were injured in a shooting outside a pub in Toronto, authorities reported.
Four people sustained non-life-threatening injuries following the incident in the Scarborough district, east of downtown Toronto, police said. The condition of the remaining victims is not yet known.
The suspect is still at large, according to the police.
Toronto Police stated that the suspect "was wearing a black hoodie," was seen "fleeing in a silver car," and is still on the run.
Toronto's mayor, Olivia Chow, said that "all necessary resources" were being mobilized after the shooting.
"I am deeply concerned by reports of a shooting at a pub in Scarborough," Chow wrote on social media platform X.
The mayor added that she had been assured by the police chief that "all necessary resources have been deployed" and that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
"My thoughts are with the victims and their families," she said.
