The President of the Bosnian entity Republika Srpska announced that this year the unconstitutional day of RS will be marked and that this holiday will remain even when they unite with Serbia
"We will celebrate as we have done so far. We will mark all national holidays of Serbia because every holiday of Serbia is also our holiday. When we unite with Serbia, January 9 will remain a holiday," Dodik said.
As reported by Radio Sarajevo, in an interview with the media from Republika Srpska, he also talked about plans for the independence of that entity.
"We are not naive to think that this is the end, but we believe that everyone has understood that this group will not allow the seizure of property and that it is ready to go to the end. And as for that end, for them, for us, it is a political goal. And that is the independence and autonomy of RS. And everyone has understood that," he said.
"We have laws passed by an unelected foreigner, and that is not a European standard. Europe does not allow an individual to pass laws, no king, no sovereign, can do that, and in Bosnia and Herzegovina an illegitimate man is doing that. Then they accused me with the aim of banning me from political work or sending me to prison because I was fulfilling my obligations and because I did not respect the decisions of such a foreigner. There is no such thing anywhere in the world, but I think that all those who worked on it will eventually come out on their faces," Dodik said.
He again denied the genocide in Srebrenica.
"Srebrenica is not our story. Efraim Zuroff, the greatest authority on genocide, said that there was no genocide in Srebrenica. And they are all allowed to say that there was no genocide, but, well, we are not allowed to. Well, we will speak. No one will, on the occasion of that anniversary, put any major political issues on the table as was done in previous years," and added that "as for Dayton, three decades since its signing can be a good reason to conclude that that agreement is dead and that the Americans killed it," Dodik assessed.
